ASHLAND, Va. -- The Randolph-Macon men's tennis team beat York College 8-1 on Saturday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets ran through doubles leaving with three points heading into singles play. Holland Baynard (Wilmington, N.C./New Hanover) and Xan Johnston (Berlin, Md./Stephen Decatur) won a close 8-6 match in the top doubles slot. Max Doyle (Alexandria, Va./St. John's College) won 6-1 6-1 in the 3rd singles line and Xan Johnston won 6-1 6-2 at sixth for his first singles victory this spring. The win moves Randolph-Macon to 3-1 heading into Monday's contest against ODAC rival Bridgewater College.
