ASHLAND, Va. - The Randolph-Macon men's swimming team fell to the University of Mary Washington 173-85 in a dual meet on Thursday afternoon.
Evan Fannin (Hayes, Va./Christchurch), stood out for the Yellow Jackets, winning the 50 yard butterfly with a time of (24.92) that currently sits ninth in the ODAC on the year. Fannin finished third in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 23.12.Â
Aidan Campbell (Newport News, Va./Warwick) had an impressive finish in the 50 yard butterfly to finish right behind Fannin in second place, with a time of 25.08. The time is the tenth best time in the ODAC. The junior also placed fifth in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 52.87.
Jacob Batson (Virginia Beach, Va./Kellam) placed second in the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 10:52.86. The freshman had a fifth placed finish in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:16.98 to grab a point for Randolph-Macon.
Alex Richardson (Vero Beach, Fla./Vero Beach) turned in an impressive afternoon for the Yellow Jackets swimming in multiple events. The sophomore swam the 200 yard butterfly in 2:00.94 to finish second and placed second in the 500 yard freestyle with the time of 5:09.38. His third event he turned in another second place finish in the 200 IM with a time of 2:10.58.Â

The Yellow Jackets will be back in action on Friday, Oct. 27 for the second home meet of the season against St. Mary's College of (Md.) at 5:00 p.m.
