Box Score HARRISONBURG, Va. – The Randolph-Macon women's basketball team traveled to Eastern Mennonite on Tuesday night for their second meeting of the season. RMC used a balanced attack and good defense to win, 67-43.

How it Happened:
- RMC hit the ground running in the first quarter, building a 14-6 lead over the Royals and closed the frame out with a layup by sophomore Juliana Park (Fairfax Station, Va./Davidson Day) after the Yellow Jackets shot 47% in the opening stanza.
- The second quarter was a defensive battle, as only 15 total points were scored, but 11 of them were by RMC. The Yellow Jackets held the Royals to just 16% shooting in the frame and picked up two points as time expired on two free throws by freshman Morgan Miller (Lancaster, Pa./Penn Manor) to extend the lead to 29-14 at half.
- Both teams shot the ball well in the third frame, with EMU hitting four of their six three-point attempts, and RMC shooting 43%. Five turnovers by RMC led to EMU cutting the lead to nine heading to the fourth.
- Sophomore Marisa Ziegler (Forest Hill, Md./John Carroll) put on a show in the fourth, hitting all four of her shots including a triple, helping the Lemon and Black outscore the Royals by 15 in the quarter and go on to win, 67-43.
By the Numbers:
- RMC shot the ball well, shooting 46.3% from the field in the game, marking their third straight game shooting better than 40% and their second-best output of the season behind a 47% performance against Guilford this year.
- Ziegler led all Yellow Jackets with 14 points, nine of which came in the fourth quarter. Freshman Jane Elkins (Annandale, Va./Bishop Ireton) was alongside Ziegler by scoring 10 points, being the only two in double figures.
- Catherine Kagey (Roanoke, Va./Faith Christian) added nine points to couple with 12 rebounds, her ninth game of double-digit boards this season.
- RMC continues their stretch of great rebounding, outrebounding the Royals 41-29. RMC now has 40+ rebounds in seven of their last ten games, and their fourth straight game outrebounding their opponent.
