ASHLAND, Va. -- The Randolph-Macon men's swimming team hosted Senior Day on Saturday afternoon in a meet with Washington and Lee. W&L defeated Randolph-Macon 197-64.
R-MC won three individual events on the day, led by senior Jacob Wills (Chesterfield, Va./Matoaca) who won the 100 back with a time of 54.84 and finished second in the 200 back in 2:03.35.
Alex Richardson (Vero Beach, Fla./Vero Beach) also picked up a win on the day, finishing first in the 1000 free with a personal best time of 10:22.32. he also finished fourth in the 200 IM and fifth in the 100 free.
Ben Pastva (Fairfax, Va./Robinson) was the third Yellow Jacket that won an event today, winning the 50 free in 21.62. He also finished fourth in the 100 free.
Senior Michael Senter finished the 100 breast in 1:08.71 and the 200 breast in 2:33.69, finishing sixth in both events.
R-MC finished third in the 200 medley relay in 1:39.34 with a relay team of Wills, Ryan Deavers (Broadway, Va./Broadway), Richardson, and Pastva.
Evan Fannin (Hayes, Va./Christchurch), Morgan VerMeer (Lancaster, Va./Lancaster), Wills, and Pastva finished the 200 free relay in 1:31.26 to pick up a bronze medal in the event.
R-MC will be back in action for the season finale at Virginia Wesleyan on Jan. 28 at 1:00 p.m.
