(GREENSBORO, N.C.) – The Randolph-Macon men's tennis team fell to Guilford in a rescheduled contest that was postponed last week. The Yellow Jackets took an early lead after playing well during the doubles portion of the afternoon, but the Quakers were able to bounce back during singles action.

How It Happened
- Two doubles matches went to the wire with Randolph-Macon scoring both their points on a couple of tiebreakers. The Yellow Jackets evened the team score at 1-1 when Ryan Aud (Sr., Fishersville, Va. / Wilson Memorial) and Max Doyle (So., Alexandria, Va. / St. John's College) defeated Jay Montague and Tye Sasser 8-7 with a 7-3 tiebreaker. The Lemon and Black proceeded to take the lead in similar fashion as Max Hammock (So., Vienna, Va. / James Madison) and Braxton Fagan (Fr., Glen Allen, Va. / Deep Run) equaled the set score with a 7-2 tiebreaker over Drake Schreiber and Evan Wong.
- In singles play Guilford was able to quickly rebound and take the lead early on. Dominik Pocrnja defeated Mitchall Herman (Fr., Fairfax, Va. / Flint Hill) 6-1, 6-1 at sixth singles, and Schreiber followed with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Aud at seconds. Sasser went on to defeat Max Presley (Sr., Hilton Head, S.C. / Goochland) 6-3, 6-0 at fifth, Montague took a 6-1, 6-3 decision over Hammock, and Wong defeated Doyle 6-0, 6-2. Fagan was close to forcing a tiebreaker at third singles but fell 6-4 after dropping the first 6-1.
