(ASHLAND, Va.) – The Randolph-Macon men's tennis team had a difficult day as it took on a high-powered Centre squad Tuesday. Braxton Fagan (Fr., Glen Allen, Va. / Deep Run) played well at third singles and was the closest to giving the Yellow Jackets a point, but the Colonels held him off and retained the shutout.

How It Happened
- Max Hammock (So., Vienna, Va. / James Madison) and Braxton Fagan (Fr., Glen Allen, Va. / Deep Run) opened the day at first doubles and were able to take a couple of games against Bo Bush and Jasper Gazzo, but eventually fell 8-2.
- Fagan remained competitive in singles play and took another couple of games in the opening set before falling in 6-2. The second was even closer, but Fagan fell 6-4.
- Max Doyle (So., Alexandria, Va. / St. John's College) and Max Presley (Sr., Hilton Head, S.C. / Goochland) also played well at fourth and fifth singles, respectively, but both fell by identical 6-2, 6-3 set scores.
