How It Happened
- W&L took a 2-0 lead early in doubles action, but the Yellow Jackets were able to get on the board with a win at second doubles as Hammock (So., Vienna, Va. / James Madison) and Fagan (Fr., Glen Allen, Va. / Deep Run) scored the 8-4 victory over the Generals' T.J. Rudden and Eli Hirshberg.
- Once singles play started, the Lemon and Black tied the match early as Aud (Sr., Fishersville, Va. / Wilson Memorial) scored a win at seconds. He also took on Rudden and won the first set 6-4. Aud also led 1-0 in the second set before Rudden retired.
- From there the Generals started to take control. Hammock was able to fight hard at first singles with a 6-3 loss in the first set to Evan Erb, but Erb prevented any hopes of a comeback with a 6-1 win in the second.
