Box Score ASHLAND, Va. – The Randolph-Macon women's basketball team took the road to Ferrum for the first of their two-game road stint on Saturday afternoon. R-MC used a 13-point performance from Catherine Kagey (Roanoke, Va./Faith Christian) to pick up a conference win, 53-46.

How it Happened:
- Randolph-Macon's offense, once again, started hot, as all five starters scored in the first frame to pull out to a seven-point advantage after 10 minutes, with Kagey and Cheridan Hatfield (Fishersville, Va./Wilson Memorial) leading the way with three each.
- Marisa Ziegler (Forest Hill, Md./John Carroll) posted seven points in the second quarter, but the Panthers pulled the halftime deficit within four heading into the break.
- The Yellow Jackets picked up both sides of the ball in the third frame, jumping out to a 10-point lead, led by Jane Elkins (Annandale, Va./Bishop Ireton) and Paige Anderson (Sterling, Va./Potomac Falls) on the interior combining for nine points and five rebounds.
- Despite a comeback effort by Ferrum, R-MC got six fourth quarter points from Kagey to help seal the win on the road.
By the Numbers:
- Kagey posted 13 points, six rebounds, and two steals to lead the way for R-MC, notching her fourth consecutive double-digit performance.
- Ziegler added nine points off the bench, shooting an efficient 4-5 from the field and making her only triple of the day.
- The interior presence of Elkins and Anderson combined for 15 points and 14 rebounds on the afternoon. For Anderson, it was her fifth straight game with seven or more rebounds.
- This marks Randolph-Macon's fourth win in a row, and second win in as many games of conference play.
