Box Score BALTIMORE, Md. – The Randolph-Macon women's basketball team took the road for a midweek non-conference matchup with Notre Dame of Maryland on Wednesday night. The Yellow Jackets rallied to overcome a halftime deficit and pull out the win.

How it Happened:
- Randolph-Macon's offense started fast once again, scoring 21 points in the first quarter, spearheaded by Haley Pasqualone (Purcellville, Va./Loudon Valley) going two for three from deep.
- R-MC as a team shot 47% from the field in the first quarter.
- The Gators came out with a vengeance in the second, outscoring the Yellow Jackets 27-8, and shooting at an extraordinary clip from the floor. They shot 77% from the field and 71% from three in the quarter to take the lead into half.
- R-MC returned the favor coming out of the break as Jane Elkins (Annandale, Va./Bishop Ireton) led the way towards a comeback that had R-MC knotted up with the Gators after three periods.
- Elkins continued the success and got help from Catherine Kagey (Roanoke, Va./Faith Christian) and Devan Conrad (Parkville, Md./St. Paul's Schol for Girls) to orchestrate a defensive clinic in a fourth quarter that only saw 15 total points but had the Yellow Jackets on top to close the win.
Inside the Numbers:
- R-MC rode a big second half, outscoring the Gators 28-15 in the final 20 minutes.
- The Yellow Jackets crashed the boards, outrebounding Notre Dame of Maryland 41-23 including a 17-3 advantage on the offensive glass for R-MC.
- Elkins had her third straight game with double-digit points, posting 17 as well as seven rebounds.
- Kagey and Pasqualone both had 11 points. Kagey added six rebounds and three assists as well.
- Cheridan Hatfield (Fishersville, Va./Wilson Memorial) continues to find the hustle stats, grabbing seven rebounds to couple with eight assists, a block, and a steal. All to go along with five points on the night.
