Box Score (ASHLAND, Va.) – A defensive struggle boded well for Randolph-Macon men's soccer in the first half on Saturday, but Berry's offense came alive in the second to come away with the win.

How It Happened
- Defense controlled the pace of play in the first half. Each team garnered just four shots in the half with one on goal. Berry had the first on target which came in the 23rd minute. Randolph-Macon's came in the 39th minute.
- Berry eventually got on the board in the 51st minute with its second shot on goal of the game. Following a corner kick, Chris Barbieri played it back from the end line to John Phillips who sent it from the right side to the upper left 90.
- The Vikings' second goal came on a chip shot from the right side as Henry Asbill found Zach Ernst late in the game. They added a third just a few minutes later as Nathan Carlson scored.
Inside The Numbers
- There were eight shots total again in the second half, but this time seven of them belonged to Berry who outshot RMC 11-5 overall.
- Despite the shot count, the Yellow Jackets still put pressure on the Vikings at various times. They generated 10 corner kicks compared to the three by Berry. Six of them came in the second half.
