(LEXINGTON, Va.) – The Randolph-Macon men's tennis team opened up the season with a 9-0 loss against the 10-time defending ODAC champion and No. 32 Washington & Lee. It was the first match of the season after two originally scheduled in late February against Ferrum and Mary Baldwin were postponed.

How It Happened
- The Generals jumped out to an early 3-0 lead with a sweep in doubles. Max Doyle (Fr. / Alexandria, Va.) and Dani Recarte (Sr. / Madrid, Spain) provided the closest result for the Jackets, but were downed 8-4 by the duo of Mac Morehead and James Torbert.
- First and second doubles both ended by identical scores of 8-2.
- Recarte also gave the Jackets' their best opportunity to take a set in singles as he forced a tiebreaker against Torbert at fifth singles. Recarte was equal at 6-6 before Torbert took the deciding tiebreaker 8-6.

- It's a quick turnaround for the Yellow Jackets as they are set to be in action again tomorrow morning at home. They'll entertain Washington College with a scheduled 10:30 a.m. start.
