Box Score (LEXINGTON, Va.) – The Randolph-Macon men's soccer team fell short in its bid to give No. 1 Washington & Lee its first loss of the season. The Yellow Jackets hung with the Generals for the first half, but the hosts scored early in the second half added insurance goals later to secure the win.

How It Happened
- The game was scoreless for the first half thanks to great defensive play by the Yellow Jackets. W&L outshot RMC 11-2 in the frame, but four saves by Adam Braithwaite (Fr., Chesterfield, Va. / Matoaca) kept the game even at the break.
- The Generals eventually got on the boar early in the second when Michael Kustanzira scored in the 50th minute on an assist from Samuel Bass. The two connected again just six minutes later to make the score 2-0.
- Between goals, Randolph-Macon saw its best opportunity to score thanks to a flurry of four shots. Two of them on attempts from Elijah Lloyd (Jr., Roanoke, Va. / North Cross) and Bogue Cummings (Jr., Midlothian, Va. / Midlothian) were on target, but W&L's Matt Semcesen made the save.
- The final score came in the 89th minute when George Biddle took an assist from Will Luik.

- Randolph-Macon was outshot 21-8 in the contest. Corner kicks also favored the hosts by a 5-2 margin.

- With one game remaining in the regular season, Randolph-Macon sits in a tie for third place with Virginia Wesleyan with 15 points. The top four teams will host a quarterfinal game next week.
