How It Happened
- Colton Howell (Sr., Glen Allen, Va. / Glen Allen) opened up the scoring a third of the way into the game with his second goal of the season. Just under four minutes later Bryce Martin (Jr., Chesterfield, Va. / Middletown) made it 2-0 with his goal in the 34th minute.
- The second half was filled with plenty of offense from both teams. Howell got back into the scoring column as he assisted Penny Senior (Sr., Kingston, Jamaica / Meadowbrook) at the start of the half.
- Ferrum eventually got on the board when Jeffery Calix connected with Leo Galpin in the 56th minute.
- The Yellow Jackets were able to get that goal back as Kodi Tannor (So., Midlothian, Va. / Midlothian) scored in the 77th minute.
- The Panthers' Daniel Aguirre set the final score with a late goal on assists from Galpin and Callum Harrison.
Inside The Numbers
- Offense was part of the best defense for the Yellow Jackets as they controlled possession for most of the contest. Overall they outshot the Panthers 21-3 and prevented the hosts from taking an attempt in the first half.
- Corner kicks heavily favored RMC as well. They had 16 total with nine in the second half, while the Panthers were left without any.
- Martin's goal was his third of the year.
- Tannor's goal was his first of the season and the second of his career.
For The Record
- The Yellow Jackets' eight game unbeaten streak is their longest since the 2005 season when they opened that year with eight consecutive wins.
