Box Score ASHLAND, Va. – Senior Kelly Williams (Garysburg, N.C./Halifax Academy) registered her 11th double-double of the season with 16 points and 12 rebounds, including 12 points in the second half, as the Randolph-Macon women's basketball team defeated Virginia Wesleyan 66-48 in ODAC action on Wednesday evening.

How it Happened:
- A layup by senior Charlotte Woods (Richmond, Va./Trinity) capped a 6-0 start for the Yellow Jackets with 6:30 left in the first quarter. The Marlins closed the period on a 13-7 run to level the score at 13-13.
- VWU had the first basket of the second quarter to take its first lead at 15-13. Junior Becca Arrington (Amelia, Va./Amelia Academy) had a layup to tie the game and a three-pointer by sophomore Cheridan Hatfield (Fishersville, Va./Wilson Memorial) put R-MC ahead to stay. Another layup by Arrington capped the 9-0 spurt as the Yellow Jackets went up 22-15 with 6:40 remaining. A three-pointer by freshman Haley Pasqualone (Purcellville, Va./Loudoun Valley) gave the home team a 12-point cushion at 31-19 with two minutes left. A bucket by sophomore Aimee DeBell (Studley, Va./Saint Gertrude) gave the Yellow Jackets a 33-19 advantage at the break. Arrington had nine points, while Hatfield dished out five assists.
- A trey by Arrington, a pair of free throws by Williams and a layup by senior Michal Ross (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) gave R-MC a 40-19 lead one minute into the third quarter. VWU closed within 16 before jumpers by Pasqualone and junior Elise Knobloch (Glenville, Pa./Delone Catholic) pushed the lead back to 20 at 51-31 with 1:30 remaining. The Marlins had the final two buckets of the quarter and trailed 53-37 after three.
- VWU had the first four points of the fourth period to narrow the deficit to 12 at 53-14. Woods had a layup and a free throw, and Williams added two layups and one foul shot to extend the lead back to 20 at 61-41 with six minutes left. After a basket by the Marlins, Williams had four points and Arrington added a free throw to give the Yellow Jackets their largest lead at 23 at 66-43 with 4:20 remaining. VWU had the final five points of the contest to make the final 66-48.

- R-MC had three score in double figures. Along with 16 by Williams, Arrington finished with 13 and Woods added 11.
- Woods grabbed six rebounds and DeBell had five.
- Woods also had a season-high six of R-MC's 22 steals, one away from her career best. The Yellow Jackets recorded a season high with the 22 thefts.
- Hatfield finished with eight assists, matching her career best and registering a season high.
- The Yellow Jackets had 30-14 advantage on points from turnovers, 42-30 edge on points in the paint, 22-8 on second chance points, and 16-4 on fast break points.
