Box Score ASHLAND, Va. – Senior Kelly Williams (Garysburg, N.C./Halifax Academy) recorded her 10th double-double of the season, and the Yellow Jacket defense held Hollins scoreless for the first six minutes of the third quarter, as the Randolph-Macon women's basketball team posted a 73-58 ODAC victory on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened:
- HU jumped out to a quick 7-0 lead before a three-point play by Williams got the Yellow Jackets on the board. That sparked a 13-2 run as R-MC went up 13-9 with four minutes left in the first period. HU closed within two at 16-14 before a three-pointer by freshman Haley Pasqualone (Purcellville, Va./Loudoun Valley) to cap a 6-0 spurt as the Yellow Jackets led 22-14 after one quarter.
- Williams had another three-point play and a layup to start the second period as the advantage grew to 13 at 27-14. HU used a 16-5 run to pull within two at 32-30 with 2:14 left until halftime. A layup by sophomore Aimee DeBell (Studley, Va./Saint Gertrude) put a halt to the run. With the home team up 34-32, senior Charlotte Woods (Richmond, Va./Trinity) and sophomore Peyton Humphreys (Lexington, Ky./Paul Laurence Dunbar) had the final two buckets of the quarter as the Yellow Jackets took a 38-32 lead at intermission. Williams had 13 points, five rebounds and three blocks in the first half.
- R-MC started the third period by scoring the first 14 points, including eight by Williams, as the advantage ballooned to 20 at 52-32 with 4:20 remaining. The first basket by HU came with 4:07 left in the quarter. The visitors cut the deficit to 13 at 53-40 before the Yellow Jackets would take a 59-42 advantage to the final period.
- A layup by senior Michal Ross (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) on a pretty pass from junior Becca Arrington (Amelia, Va./Amelia Academy) gave R-MC its largest lead at 67-44 with 5:50 left in the contest. HU would cut the deficit to 15 at the end as the Yellow Jackets recorded the 73-58 win.
By The Numbers:
- Williams went 9 for 11 from the floor, hit a three-pointer and sank five free throws for her season-high 24 points. Sophomore Cheridan Hatfield (Fishersville, Va./Wilson Memorial) also scored in double figures with 12. She went 3 for 4 from beyond the arc.
- The Yellow Jackets had 11 of their 12 players score in the game.
- R-MC had a 55-33 advantage on the boards. To go along with the 11 caroms by Williams, Woods, Arrington and Humphreys all pulled down six. The Yellow Jackets also had a 16-5 edge in second chance points.
- Arrington paced the Yellow Jackets with four assists, while Williams, Hatfield and Humphreys each dished out three.

- R-MC has won six of its past eight contests.
- The Yellow Jackets are 60-3 all-time against Hollins.
- R-MC attempted 29 free throws, its second-highest total of the season. The Yellow Jackets went to the charity stripe 31 times at Roanoke.
