VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - The sixth-seeded Randolph-Macon men's tennis team led 2-1 after doubles, but dropped a 5-2 decision at third-seeded Virginia Wesleyan in the quarterfinals of the 2019 ODAC Men's Tennis Tournament on Tuesday afternoon.

How It Happened
- Junior Grant Sarver (Richmond, Va./Mills Godwin) and freshman Ryan Aud (Fishersville, Va./Wilson Memorial) combined to win 8-5 at No. 1 Doubles. The Marlins won 8-2 at No. 2 Doubles.
- Sophomore Erik Moulton (Yorktown, Va./York) and sophomore Alex Hein (Windermere, Fla./Windermere Preparatory School) pulled out a thrilling 8-7 win at No. 3 doubles. With the score knotted at 7-7, the duo posted a 7-3 victory in the tie-breaker as the Yellow Jackets took a 2-1 lead in the match.
- Sarver split sets at No. 1 singles, but VWU posted wins at No. 2, No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 Singles to rally for the victory.
- The match was played to decision.
