HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. – Senior John Adam (Vienna, Va./James Madison) and sophomore Baxter Carter (Richmond, Va./St. Christopher's) recorded wins in doubles and singles as the Randolph-Macon men's tennis team topped Hampden-Sydney 6-3 Wednesday afternoon in a four-hour ODAC match.

Adam and Carter teamed to win at No. 1 Doubles 8-2 as the Yellow Jackets (10-4, 5-4 ODAC) trailed 2-1 following doubles. R-MC rallied to win five of the six singles matches. Adam posted a 6-2, 6-0 victory at No. 1 Singles and Carter won 6-3, 6-2 at No. 4 Singles.

Senior Tom Lewis (Charlottesville, Va./Western Albemarle) registered a 6-0, 4-6, 6-4 win at No. 2 Singles. Adam and Lewis became the second straight senior class to go 4-0 against the Tigers (2-13, 1-7 ODAC).

Freshman Jacob Haines (Springfield, Va./West Springfield) won a tight first set in a tie-breaker 10-4 before recording a 6-2 victory in the second set at No. 3 Singles. Junior Stuart McCroskey (Newport News, Va./Menchville) rolled at No. 6 Singles 6-0, 6-0.

Randolph-Macon concludes its regular season on Saturday, April 23, with a 1 p.m. home ODAC match against Roanoke at the Banks Tennis Center.
