ASHLAND, Va.—Senior John Adam (Vienna, Va. / James Madison) and sophomore Baxter Carter (Richmond, Va. / St. Christopher's) won at No. 1 Doubles and claimed wins in their singles matches as the Randolph-Macon men's tennis team grabbed a 7-2 victory over Southern Virginia Wednesday afternoon.

Adam and Carter gave the Yellow Jackets (5-1) their only doubles victory before R-MC swept all singles matches from the Knights (4-5). Adam won 7-6, 6-1 at No. 1 Singles and Carter added a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 4 Singles.

Both senior Tom Lewis (Charlottesville, Va. / Western Albemarle) and freshman Jacob Haines (Springfield, Va. / West Sprinfield) rallied to win, posting a 7-6,4-6,1-0 win at No. 2 Singles and a 6-7, 6-3, 1-0 victory at No. 3 Singles, respectively.

Junior Alex Curnow (Culpeper, Va. / Midlothian) claimed a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 5 Singles and junior Stuart McCroskey (Newport News, Va. / Menchville) added a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 6 Singles.

Randolph-Macon returns to action on Sunday, March 20 at 1 p.m. for an ODAC contest at Emory & Henry.
