ASHLAND, Va. – Senior Tom Lewis (Charlottesville, Va./Western Albemarle) and junior Alex Curnow (Culpeper, Va./Midlothian) helped the Randolph-Macon men's tennis team blank Albright 9-0 Monday afternoon at the Banks Tennis Center.

Lewis did not lose a game in either singles or doubles, while Curnow dropped just one game.

The Yellow Jackets (4-1) jumped ahead 3-0 over the Lions (0-6) after doubles play. Lewis teamed with Curnow to post an 8-0 win at No. 2 Doubles. Senior John Adam (Vienna, Va./James Madison) and sophomore Baxter Carter (Richmond, Va./St. Christopher's) combined to take No. 1 Doubles 8-5. Freshman Jacob Haines (Springfield, Va./West Springfield) and junior Pablo Bordas (Caracas, Venezuela/Briar Woods) won 8-2 at No. 3 Doubles.

Lewis had a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 2 Singles, while Curnow won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5 Singles.

Adam battled to a 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 1 Singles. Haines had a 6-2, 6-3 victory at No. 3 Singles. Carter blanked his opponent 6-0, 6-0 in No. 4 Singles. Junior Stuart McCroskey (Newport News, Va./Menchville) won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6 Singles.

Randolph-Macon returns to action on Wednesday, March 16, with a 4 p.m. home match against Southern Virginia at the Banks Tennis Center.
