Box Score NORFOLK, Va. – The Randolph-Macon men's soccer team fell to Virginia Wesleyan on Wednesday night. R-MC fall to 9-4-2 and 5-3 in the ODAC, while the Marlins improve to 7-5-4 and 3-2-3 in the ODAC.
Wesleyan scored three first half goals in the space of six minutes. Tanner Martin scored two and assisted one for the Marlins.
R-MC were able to cope with the Marlins defense in the second half and limited their chances.
The Yellow Jackets finished the game with six shots on goal. Sophomore Andrew Gyimiesi (Midlothian, Va./ James River) had two total shots, registering one on target.
The freshman trio of Josh Beeker (Bel Air, Md./ Bel Air), Enrique Dubon (Woodbridge, Va./ C.D. Hylton) and Christian Torres (Stafford, Va./ C.D. Hylton) made impacts in the game filling in for players and showed promise for the future Yellow Jacket midfield and attack. Beeker made his second start of the season.
Sophomore Brian Breslin (Fairfax, Va./ W.T. Woodson) made three saves in the game.
R-MC finishes out the regular season on Saturday when it travels to play Randolph. The ODAC quarterfinals will begin next Wednesday.
