ASHLAND, Va. – Junior John Adam (Vienna, Va./James Madison) recorded a straight-set victory at No. 3 Singles as the Randolph-Macon men's tennis team dropped an 8-1 ODAC decision at home to Virginia Wesleyan Thursday afternoon.
Adam posted a 6-2, 6-3 victory at No. 3 Singles for the Yellow Jackets (3-4, 1-3). Adam and senior Connor Hoerr (Virginia Beach, Va./Princess Anne) lost a tough 9-7 decision at No. 2 Doubles.
The Marlins (8-3, 6-1) recorded straight-set wins in the other five singles matches.
Randolph-Macon returns to action on Thursday, April 3 at home at 4 p.m. against Division II Virginia Union.
