WESTMINSTER, MD – Randolph-Macon took four of six singles matches on the way to a 5-4 win over McDaniel Monday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets return to action Wednesday, April 10th when they host rival Hampden-Sydney at 3:30.
Jody Cox and Tom Lewis teamed up to defeat Tom Orrok and Ryan Salomon 8-4 for R-MC's lone win in doubles play.
Randolph-Macon needed four wins in singles play to take the match and got one from their No. 1 singles player Connor Hoerr. Hoerr defeated McDaniel's top player Brian Kron 6-3, 7-6 (7-4).
In the No. 2 position, the Yellow Jackets picked up another win from Michael Baxter 6-3, 7-6 (7-5).
John Adam shutout his opponent in straight sets 6-0, 6-0 in the matchup of No. 3 singles competitors.
R-MC completed their sweep of the top four singles matches with Ira Usry knocking off Orrok 6-0, 6-1, giving the Yellow Jackets a 5-4 road victory.
