Ashland, VA -- Lynchburg took advantage of four players in double-figures as the Hornets defeated the Yellow Jackets 96-86 on Saturday afternoon. 

Sarah Parsons led the Yellow Jacket offense with 25 points, while Katie Anderson was just shy of a double-double, finishing with 22 points and nine rebounds. Hannah Livermon and Kahjae Hester joined the duo in double-figures with 15 and 14, respectively. Anderson and Livermon also had a game high five steals. 

The first half was tight the entire 20 minutes, with the Hornets able to pull ahead 38-36 heading into halftime.

The Hornets led by a small margin for most of the second half, but the Yellow Jackets took a 63-62 lead with 10 minutes left to play after a Hester layup.

Shannon Allan made a three-pointer a minute later and R-MC would never regain the advantage. LC led 85-82 with 2:32 on the game clock and finished on an 11-4 run to secure the win.

Allan finished with a game-high 33 points, hitting 10 of her 15 shots from the floor and 11-12 from the free-throw line. She also added five assists, three blocked shots and two steals. Chaney Forbush posted a double-double of 19 points and a game-high 10 rebounds. Lauren Penley had 14 points and Katie Reeves added 13.

Randolph-Macon will be back in action as the women travel to Roanoke College for the first round of the 2013 ODAC Tournament. Tip-off is set for a 7:00 p.m. start.
