ASHLAND, Va. – Freshman defender Sam Bowen (Collegeville, Pa./The Haverford School) scored in the 11th minute for Randolph-Macon, but Randolph tallied the final two goals of the contest to escape with a 2-1 ODAC victory in men's soccer.

Bowen scored for the second time this season, finishing from the left side on a pass from senior defender Brock Barbeau (Suffolk, Va./Nansemond-Suffolk Academy) to give the Yellow Jackets (3-5, 1-3) the early lead.

The Wildcats (8-0-1, 3-0) registered the equalizer in the 31st minute and recorded the go-ahead goal in the 72nd minute.

Randolph held a 19-11 edge in shots. Barbeau led the Jackets with three shots, including one shot on goal.

Senior goalkeeper Cris Lowe (Rome, Ga./Darlington Academy) recorded a season-high nine saves for R-MC.

The Yellow Jackets host Bridgewater on Saturday, Oct. 5, in a 12 noon Family Weekend contest.
