Box Score ASHLAND, VA - Luke Moore scored the game's only goal in the 61st minute as visiting Lynchburg College defeated host Randolph-Macon 1-0 in ODAC play.
Moore's unassisted goal was scored off a long kick from the right side of the net. Lynchburg notched 15 total shots before Moore scored. The Hornets held a 19-5 advantage in shots on the night.
Randolph-Macon's best scoring opportunity came from freshman Andrew Oakes when he went one-on-one with the goalie. Oakes had his breakaway shot stopped by Hornets goalkeeper Michael Releford who stopped all three of the Yellow Jackets shots on goal.
R-MC goalkeeper Chris Lowe played all 90 minutes and recorded five saves on the night.
R-MC will be back in action when it travels to Virginia Wesleyan on Monday, October 1st for a 7:00 p.m. start.
