Box Score ASHLAND, VA – A balanced offense attack from Bridgewater led to four first half goals and the 4-3 win over the Yellow Jackets. The Eagles improve to 6-2 overall and undefeated in ODAC play, while the Yellow Jackets fall to 1-5-2 and 1-2 in ODAC play.
Ryan Morgan led the attack with a goal just 30 seconds into the match off an assist from Gerard Miniaci to give the Eagles the early 1-0 lead.
Randolph-Macon tied the score in the sixth minute when Andrew Oakes got behind the Eagles defense and put a low shot past the Bridgewater goalie to even the score.
The Eagles would control the rest of the half, taking a 4-1 lead going into halftime, recording three more goals from Logan McGlynn, Ben Lewis and Patrick Thornton.
The Yellow Jackets would rally in the second half with two goals, but could not tie the score. Brock Barbeau and Caleb Hatcher notched their first goals of the season to lead the second half charge.
Goalkeeper Chris Lowe played all 90 minutes, recording one save on the afternoon.
The Yellow Jackets will be back in action on September 26th, playing Virginia Wesleyan at 7 p.m.
