ASHLAND, Va--- Mederick Ceril won his 12th straight singles match to help lead R-MC past Lynchburg, 8-1 Tuesday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets won their second straight to improve to 6-7 overall, 3-4 in the ODAC, while the Hornets fell to 3-12 on the season, 0-9 in conference play.
Ceril, the reigning ODAC Player of the Week, earned a 6-4, 6-0 victory to improve to 7-0 in conference play in No. 1 singles action. Connor Hoerr picked up the victory over Cody Crampton in No. 3 singles play. Frank Donnelly and Joe Cox earned wins in the final to singles matches.
Ceril and Chandler Weston partnered to record the victory in No. 1 doubles, 9-7. Hoerr and Ira Usry teamed up to defeat Cody Crampton and Owen Landon, 8-1 and Cox and Donelly cruised to an 8-0 in No. 3 doubles play.
The Yellow Jackets return to the courts Thursday, April 12th when they travel to Randolph. Play is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m.
