ASHLAND, Va--- R-MC Men's Tennis defeated Southern Virginia, 7-2 Tuesday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets handed the Knights their first loss of the season, dropping them to 8-1. Randolph-Macon improved to 4-6 on the year.
The Jackets went 5-1 in singles action.
Mederick Ceril topped Shaolin Chandam in No. 1 singles action, 6-2, 6-3. Ceril is now 9-1 on the season and has won nine straight matches.
Connor Hoer earned a 6-0, 6-2 win in number three singles. Ira Usry, Frank Donnelly, and Joe Cox all picked up victories in their singles matches as well.
Ceril and Chandler Weston recorded the win in number one doubles 8-4 and Cox and Donnelly cruised in no. 3 doubles, 8-2.
Randolph-Macon returns to action, Friday March 30th when it hosts Guilford in ODAC action. The match is scheduled for a 3:00 p.m. start.
