HARRISONBURG, VA --   Eastern Mennonite scored 23 of the game's final 26 points Tuesday night as the Royals took a 71-62 victory over visiting Randolph-Macon in ODAC Women's Hoops action.

R-MC (10-9 / 8-6 ODAC) was led by Sarah Parsons and Taylor Wieczorek who each scored 18 points.  Wieczorek, the reigning ODAC Player of the Week also had 13 rebounds for the Jackets.  Maggie Roy scored 13 points to go along with seven assists and four boards.

Eastern Mennonite (16-2 / 13-2) got a game-high 19 points from Sarah Rheinheimer.  Kala Yoders also had 11 points and 15 rebounds, while Shakeerah Sykes and Bianca Ygarza each had 13 points for the Royals.

The game was nip-and-tuck through the whole first-half with EMU talking the largest lead of the first stanza at six points when Yoders drained a jumper to put the Royals out in front, 23-17. 

R-MC scored nine of the final 11 points of the half, taking a 26-25 advantage on a Parsons three-pointer with just over three minutes to play.

The beginning of the second-half remained tight, with R-MC holding a slim lead before EMU was able to string together seven consecutive points to take a 41-40 lead with 11:32 to play.

R-MC rallied, piecing together what proved to be a 19-7 run, with a Roy jumper putting the Yellow Jackets ahead 59-48 with 5:03 left on the clock.

EMU responded with the decisive 19-0 run over the course of the next 4:19, taking a 67-59 lead when Yoders scored a layup with 44 seconds left.

Randolph-Macon returns to action on Friday when it hosts ODAC rival Guilford.  Tip-off is slated for 7:00 p.m.
