Box Score ASHLAND, Va--- R-MC fell to Mary Washington, 54-40, Saturday afternoon in the 2011 Randolph-Macon Tip-Off Classic. The women dropped to 1-2 on the young season, while the Eagles improved to 3-0 on the year.
The Yellow Jackets were never able to really get it going, shooting just 20.0% from the floor in the contest.
Leading 11-6 midway through the first half, Mary Washington put together an 18-5 run to close the period and take a 29-11 advantage into the intermission. The Eagles never looked back, as R-MC couldn't cut its deficit any closer than 13 points.
Taylor Wieczorek led the Yellow Jackets with nine points and 12 rebounds and was named to the all-tournament team for her efforts. Sarah Parsons and Molly Brown each chipped in nine points as well. Jillian Asay led the team with three steals.
Jenna McRae led the Eagles with 20 points and also earned all-tournament honors, while Katie Wimmer chipped in 17 points, eight rebounds and three steals, earning the 2011 R-MC Tip-Off Classic's Most Outstanding Player Award.

R-MC returns to action Tuesday, November 22nd as its plays host to Eastern Mennonite in the start of ODAC play. Tip-off is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start.
