Box Score HARRISONBURG, Va--- Randolph-Macon topped Eastern Mennonite, 2-0 on EMU's Senior Night Wednesday evening. The Yellow Jackets improved to 5-6-2, 4-3-2 in the conference, while the Royals fell to 8-7-1, 6-2 in the ODAC.
Ryan Jenkins scored the eventual game-winner in the 32nd minute off a long chip that just cleared the goalkeeper's outstretched arms. The goal was the first of Jenkins young career. Although the Yellow Jackets were outshot, 6-4 in the first half, they took a 1-0 lead into the intermission.
With just over eight minutes remaining, Ethan Corneilo found Mike Urbanik off a direct kick to put the game away. The assist was Corneilo's second of the year, both coming off of direct kicks.
Fernando Rochi led the Yellow Jackets with two shots on goal, while Barkot Akalu paced the Royals with four shots on the contest.
EMU outshot R-MC, 18-9 on the evening. Both teams recorded five shots on goal. The Royals held a 7-4 edge in corner kicks.
The men's next game is scheduled for Saturday, October 22nd as they travel to Hampden-Sydney. Kick-off is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start.
