Box Score Guilford College scored two goals in the first half to get past
Randolph-Macon Men's Soccer (3-3 / 0-1 ODAC) 2-0 in Ashland
Saturday.
Ethan Byrd found goal on a pass from Richard Page in the
9th minute to give the Quakers an early 1-0
advantage.
Guilford went up 2-0 32 minutes into the first half on a goal by
Greg Carnovale.
The Yellow Jackets made several offensive pushes during the
second half but Quakers' keeper Peter Truitt made four saves
to keep R-MC off the board. Truitt made five stops for the
game.
Randolph-Macon goalies Matty Rocawich and Philip Marcelo
combined for eight saves.
GC outshot R-MC 17-12 and also held a 9-5 advantage in corner
kicks.
The Yellow Jackets will be back in action Wednesday, September
22nd when they travel to Averett University for a 4:30
non-conference tilt.
