ASHLAND, VA—Tripp Howerin scored a singles and a doubles
win for the Yellow Jackets but Ferrum College slipped past
Randolph-Macon Men's Tennis 6-3 in Ashland Sunday.
Howerin (Norfolk, VA/ Norfolk Collegiate) defeated
Ferrum's Bob Dill in straight sets 6-3, 7-5.

(Walkersville, MD/ St John's) picked up another singles win
for R-MC with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Darren Agee.
The Pathers' Matt Mellone needed three sets to get past Chandler
Weston of Randolph-Macon (Wayne, NJ) 5-7, 7-6 (7-5), 13-11.
Kevin
Lloyd (Berlin, MD) and Chris Picarde
(Annapolis, MD/ St. Mary's) battled to force a third set but
Ferrum rallied in the final set to take both matches 4-6, 6-2, 6-0
and 6-4, 0-6, 6-2 respectively.
Howerin and Picarde defeated John Hartin and Mellone 8-5 to pick
up a doubles win for the Jackets.
Randolph-Macon Men's Tennis will travel to ODAC rival
Hampden-Sydney Wednesday, April 14th for a 3:30 p.m.
