Box Score Eastern Mennonite used 40.7% shooting to get past Randolph-Macon Women's Basketball (2-2 / 0-1 ODAC) 62-41 in Harrisonburg Tuesday night. Lindsey Sharman led the Jackets with 16 points and six rebounds.
The Royals started the game off on an 11-3 run that was capped by a Kayla Yoders layup with 11:04 to play in the first half.
Randolph-Macon responded with a 5-0 run when sophomore Jordan Cantrell knocked down a three and sunk a layup to pull the Jackets within three at the 8:12 mark.
Eastern Mennonite then went on an 11-0 run, six points coming from Yoders, to finish the half up 29-19.
Sharman opened the second half with a layup for R-MC to pull within eight but EMU would then go on to score 18 of the next 23 points before winning by a final of 62-41.
Yoders paced the Royals with 20 points and 11 boards. Sara Lamneck also recorded a double-double after a 12 point, 13 rebound outing.
Sharman scored 16 and had six boards for R-MC while Cantrell finished with nine points and three rebounds.
EMU held a 56-38 advantage in rebounds and shot 40.7% for the game. The Jackets were held to 26.6% shooting.
Randolph-Macon Women's Basketball will be back in action Tuesday, November 30th when they travel to Lynchburg College for a 7:00 tip-off.
