Hot Shooting Randolph-Macon Rebounds with a 95-22 Win

ASHLAND, VA - Randolph-Macon shot 53% from the floor, made 10
three pointers and forced 34 Hollins turnovers in a 95-22 ODAC home
win for the Yellow Jackets on Saturday afternoon.
R-MC (16-5 / 13-3 ODAC) had four players in double figures led
by Amanda Hiltunen and Maggie Roy who each had a game-high 19
points in the win. Molly Brown and Molly Ariail had 12 and 10
points, respectively for R-MC as well. Taylor Wieczorek grabbed a
game-high eight rebounds to help the Yellow Jackets to a 45-22 edge
on the glass.
The Jackets defense held HU to just two field goals in the first
half, helping R-MC to a 57-6 lead at the break. Randolph-Macon
forced Hollins to just 22.5% shooting on the afternoon and recorded
25 steals as a team.
HU (0-20 / 0-15 ODAC) got seven points from both Catherin
Stillerman and Candace Berra. Tamara Phillips pulled down a team
high six rebounds.
Randolph-Macon will return to action Tuesday when it travels to
Eastern Mennonite for a key ODAC game at 7:00 p.m.
