Harrisonburg, Va. - R-MC shot 40% from the field and 47% from behind the arc as the Yellow Jackets defeated Eastern Mennonite 74-51 on Tuesday night to pick up a conference road win.

 R-MC jumped out to an early 16-6 lead and never looked back. The Yellow Jackets extended their lead to 38-22 with two and a half minutes remaining in the first half after Jennifer O'Briant knocked down a pair of free throws. The Yellow Jackets took a 41-25 lead into halftime.

 Linday Riesbeck, Molly Ariail, and Amanda Hiltunen opened the second-half R-MC scoring with layups. The Royals would not pull within 14 points of the Yellow Jackets in the second half.

 Molly Ariail registered a double-double by tallying a game-high 19 points and 12 rebounds. Amanda Hiltunen and Katie Williams each scored nine points for R-MC. Hiltunen led all players with seven assists, while Williams converted all three of her three-point attempts. The Yellow Jackets lead the nation in three-point percentage with a 42% mark in 2008-09. Although only one Yellow Jacket finished with a double-digit scoring total, 10 R-MC players netted points.

The Lady Royals were paced by 17 points from sophomore center Danielle Scott. Miranda Wolfe had a team-high 10 rebounds while Marla Young tied a career-high mark with 12 points to go along with a personal best seven rebounds.

 R-MC improves to 17-5 overall and 14-3 in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play. Eastern Mennonite falls to 7-10 overall and 12-10 in the ODAC. The Yellow Jackets return to action on Saturday when R-MC hosts Washington & Lee at 4 PM. The contest marks the last regular season home game for R-MC seniors Amanda Hiltunen, Lindsay Riesbeck, and Rachel Parker. The Yellow Jackets will also participate in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association Pink Zone for Breast Cancer Awareness on Saturday.
