Ashland, Va. - Randolph-Macon carried a 31-29 lead into
halftime, but Virginia Wesleyan outscored the Yellow Jackets 44-31
in the second stanza to win its first ODAC contest Tuesday. Junior
Molly Ariail scored 21 points to lead R-MC.
Taylor Wieczorek netted 12 points, while Jennifer O'Briant
grabbed 8 boards for R-MC. Amanda Hiltunen led the Yellow Jackets
with 5 assists.
VWC's Tonia Jones led all scorers with 24 points. The Marlins
shot 8-for-16 from behind the arc, while the Yellow Jackets shot
1-for-8.
R-MC returns to actions Monday, December 1, when the Yellow
Jackets host Lynchburg at 7:00.
