Second-Half Surge Sends W&L Past Randolph-Macon

LEXINGTON, VA -- Tommy Pignatelli notched one goal and one
assist as the Washington and Lee men's soccer team posted a 4-0
ODAC win over Randolph-Macon on Saturday afternoon in Lexington,
Virginia.
After 37 minutes of scoreless play, Pignatelli put the Generals
on theboard with an unassisted goal at 37:14. Pignatelli
picked up his third point of the game when he found junior
midfielder Drew Crowley who slipped one past first-year goalkeeper
Matty Rocawich at 61:33 to take a 2-0 lead.
W&L (6-2-1, 2-2-1) then found the back of the net two more
times in the final 11 minutes of the contest off scores to seal the
victory.
Rocawich played the duration for R-MC (3-7-1, 2-2-1) and stopped
five shots.
R-MC will be back in action on Tuesday when it travels to Randolph
College for an ODAC match.
