Zac Saylor has been named the newest Director of Athletic Communications at Randolph-Macon College in 2025. He will begin his third year overall in Ashland, serving as the primary contacts for Football, Women's Volleyball, Men's Golf, Women's Golf, Softball and will be a secondary contact for Men's Basketball.
In his second year with the Yellow Jackets, Saylor was involved in a record breaking year for Randolph-Macon, seeing seven teams participate in the NCAA Tournament during the 2024-25 season. Saylor supported the Yellow Jackets with hosting three different events of NCAA tournament play (Baseball, Football and Women's Basketball). Saylor led the charge in the athletics communications department in hosting the first/second rounds of the NCAA women's basketball tournament, hosting Piedmont, SUNY Brockport and Elizabethtown. He also assisted in coordinating communication efforts for Randolph-Macon to host the second round of the NCAA football tournament with welcoming in Washington and Jefferson; along with baseball hosting the Ashland Regional. Saylor covered his contact sports of women's basketball that made it all the way to the Sweet 16 round at Gettysburg and Softball making it to their second ever World Series appearance in Bloomington, Illinois. He also worked as the main statistician for the three games hosted inside of Crenshaw gymnasium for the women's basketball first/second rounds. Saylor also helped run the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Pod Play broadcast for softball in Salem, Virginia.
In his first year with the Yellow Jackets, Saylor played a integral role in numerous game management roles for the ODAC/NCAA postseason events. Saylor helped the process of helping Randolph-Macon College host eight NCAA tournament events (Baseball, Football and Men's Basketball). Saylor helped in the planning of the football team hosting its first ever national semifinal game that was aired on ESPN+ and Baseball hosting its first ever super regional in Ashland. He also worked as the main statistician for the three games hosted inside of Crenshaw gymnasium for the men's basketball first/second rounds. As the main contact for the softball team in 2024, Saylor saw the Yellow Jackets make it to the regional final in Salisbury, Maryland.
Saylor, a Walkersville, Maryland native, most recently worked as a Sports Information Graduate Assistant at Hood College in Frederick, Maryland for the past two years while earning his Master of Arts in Humanities. He also worked as the lead statistician for the Frederick Keys, a team in the MLB Draft League.
Prior to joining the Blazers' staff, Saylor attended the University of Arizona, where he double majored in Communications and Information Science. During his time in Tucson, Zac served as the team manager for the track & field and cross country teams.
Saylor returns to the ODAC after spending his freshman year of college at Shenandoah University as a defensive back on the football team.
