2026 - Davidson completed her second season as the lead assistant coach of the softball program. Randolph-Macon finished the regular season with a 26-16 record, highlighted by dominant stretches of play and several key wins over nationally ranked opponents. The team opened the year strong with a sweep of Mary Washington before building momentum through a demanding non-conference schedule that included national stage wins over Salisbury and Christopher Newport. In ODAC play, the Yellow Jackets continued to show their strength, producing statement conference victories over teams like Guilford, Averett, Lynchburg, and Bridgewater while finishing near the top of the league standings once again. Randolph-Macon demonstrated its ability to control games on both sides of the ball, combining explosive offensive production—highlighted by multiple run-rule victories including a 15–7 win over Eastern Mennonite and several mercy-rule shutouts—with strong pitching performances that kept opponents off balance throughout the season.
2025 - Sami Davidson completed her first season as assistant coach of the Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets in 2025, making a significant impact on the program. Davidson, a 2022 graduate of Randolph-Macon College with a Bachelor’s degree in History and minors in Art History and Studio Art, brings both academic dedication and athletic excellence to her coaching and instructional roles.
Since graduating, Davidson has continued her involvement in the game as an instructor at Richmond Baseball Academy-West (since 2023) and as a head coach with the Hanover Hornets organization for three seasons. Known for her deep knowledge of the game, leadership, and passion for player development, Davidson is committed to fostering the next generation of talent in softball.
A standout softball player during her collegiate career, Davidson played a key role in Randolph-Macon’s success, earning multiple honors including:
