Megan McCauley joined the Randolph-Macon Sports Medicine staff in the fall of 2018. Her primary sports covereage includes Field Hockey, Men's Volleyball, and Softball.

McCauley received her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from James Madison University in 2009. She then attended graduated school at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee earning a Master of the Arts in Sports Management in 2011. While at ETSU, McCauley was a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for the ETSU volleyball team and completed an internship as a Physician Extender with the ETSU Team Physician in the BucSports Clinic. 

McCauley has experience working at the high school level at Grace Christian Academy in Knoxville, TN and at John Marshall High School in Richmond. McCauley also has three years of JuCo experience. She was the first athletic trainer at Richard Bland College when they jump started their Athletics program after a long hiatus in 2013. While at RBC, McCauley was working with the Men’s Basketball Team when they won the NJCAA Division II National Championship in 2015. McCauley also handled all aspects of the strength and conditioning program for RBC Softball.

McCauley received a Level One Dry Needling Certification through Master Dry Needling in January 2023.

McCauley is a native of Newport News, VA.
