ASHLAND, Va. -- Randolph-Macon Women's Volleyball has been slotted fourth in the latest edition of the NCAA South Regional Rankings. The Regional Rankings are a metric which uses team wins and opponent wins and losses among other criteria to rank teams within eight regions across the country. R-MC has been ranked in each Regional Ranking this year. The year will culminate in the selection committee placing 64 teams in the NCAA Tournament to conclude the season.
Randolph-Macon has earned multiple statement victories in the last two weeks. R-MC earned an upset of #16 Juniata on October 26, getting the win 3-2. R-MC then earned a win over regionally-ranked Wittenberg 3-2 while at the Emory National Invitational last Friday. The Yellow Jackets ended the regular season with five of six opponents that were ranked in their respective regions.
The Yellow Jackets defeated Randolph last night 3-0 to advance in the ODAC Tournament. R-MC is slated for a semifinal against fellow regionally-ranked Washington and Lee tomorrow at 5:00 PM in Crenshaw Gymnasium.
