BRIDGEWATER, Va. – Sophomores Brooke Walthall (Norfolk, Va./Norfolk Collegiate) and Lacey Kramer (Mechanicsville, Va./Lee-Davis) each registered a pair of individual wins as the Randolph-Macon women's swimming team bested Bridgewater 112-68 Saturday afternoon.
Walthall won the 50 Free in 30.46 and the 100 Free in 1:05.80, both personal-best times.
Kramer captured the 200 Free in 2:21.18 and the 200 Back in 2:32.62.
The meet started with a veteran feel, as seniors Kacey Pool (Chesapeake, Va./Western Branch), Abbey Crank (North Chesterfield, Va./James River), Laney Sanchez (Midlothian, Va./Clover Hill) and Lauren McCoy (Dagsboro, Del./Indian River) combined to win the 200 Medley Relay.
Junior Natalia Perdomo (Fredericksburg, Va./Home School) won the 200 Fly in 2:36.84, a personal-best time. She was third in the 200 Free (2:29.15) and in the 400 Free (5:13.01), also personal-best times.
Freshman Emily Fritz (Reston, Va./South Lakes) won the 200 IM in 2:39.52.
Crank carded a pair of seconds in the 800 Free (10:30.23) and the 100 Free (1:06.03), both personal-best times.
Pool placed second in the 400 Free in 5:03.64.
Sophomore Jordan Shearer (Fredericksburg, Va./Chancellor) finished second in the 200 IM in a personal-best time of 2:42.92. She joined sophomore Lauren Simonson (Falls Church, Va./Bishop O'Connell), freshman Claire Tanner (North Chesterfield, Va./James River) and freshman Kelsey Craighead (Knoxville, Tenn./Knoxville Catholic) to win the 200 Free Relay.
Sophomore Emma Kate Russell (Lynchburg, Va./E.C. Glass) was second in the 200 Fly in 2:45.45, a personal-best time.
Craighead also took second in the 200 Back in 2:36.30.
Sophomore Zandy Knoke (King George, Va./King George) placed second in the 200 Breast in 3:06.63, a personal-best time.
Junior Caroline Pifer (Lutherville, Md./Notre Dame Prep) took second in the 200 Free in 2:27.79, a personal-best time. She was third in the 50 Free in 34.24.
Tanner took third in the 200 Fly in 2:49.64.
Sanchez finished third in the 200 Breast in a personal-best time of 3:10.60. She was fourth in the 200 Free in 2:29.28, also a personal-best time.
Simonson was third in the 800 Free in 10:48.13, a personal-best time. She was fourth in the 400 Free in 5:17.60, also a personal-best time.
Freshman Katie Herzberger (Kernersville, N.C./Bishop McGuinness) was fourth in the 100 Free in 1:10.71.
Junior Abby Baker (Ellicott City, Md./Mount Hebron) finished fourth in the 200 IM in 2:51.63. She was also fourth in the 200 Breast in a personal-best time of 3:34.34.
Randolph-Macon will host Hollins on Friday, Nov. 15 for a 5 p.m. meet.
