Personal: Wilkerson attended Kerr-Vance Academy where lettered all four years in baseball, while also lettering two years in basketball... He helped the Spartans reach the State semifinals as well as win the Easter Tournament... Wilkerson was named athlete of the year as a junior and senior and inducted into the KVA Wall of Fame... He was honored by being named to All-Conference and All-State teams his junior and senior years... Wilkerson also played for the East Coast Clippers.
