Bryan Hearn completed his first season as the Director of Golf at Randolph-Macon College in 2025-26.
WOMEN'S GOLF: Over the past four seasons, Hearn has led RMC to two National Championship appearances and has coached 3 All-Americans, 3 All-Region players, 3 ODAC Rookie of the Years, 2 ODAC Player of the Years, 11 All-ODAC players, and 3 Academic All-Americans. He also had one player named the Kim Moore Spirit Award recipient by WGCA.
The Yellow Jackets completed arguably their best season in 2025–26, as the Randolph–Macon College women’s golf program continued its rise among the nation’s top Division III teams. Under Hearn, Randolph-Macon spent the season nationally ranked inside the top-15 and captured the program’s third overall ODAC Championship while earning another trip to the NCAA National Championships in Palm Desert, California. The team placed 12th at the National Championships (highest in program history). The Yellow Jackets opened the season with a victory at the Lynn Schweizer Fall Invitational, finishing first out of 13 teams, and later posted one of the best tournament performances in program history with a runner-up finish out of 24 teams at the prestigious Golfweek October Classic. Following the regular season, junior Morgan Mussatt was named ODAC Golfer of the Year. She was also named an All-Region by WGCA following the season.
The Yellow Jackets completed another historic season in 2024-25. Hearn led RMC to a national ranking of #12, the highest in program history and received the program's first at-large bid to the 2025 NCAA National Championships at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia. The team finished 20th in the tournament, but sophomore Morgan Mussatt made the cut as an individual and placed ninth individually, shooting six-over par for the tournament. In the regular season, RMC earned their first win under Hearn, leading the field by 30 strokes in the Chick-fil-A Invitational in Rome, Georgia. Following the regular season, freshman Lilly Hall was named ODAC Golfer of the Year and ODAC Rookie of the Year, becoming just the second golfer in ODAC history to receive both awards. She was also named an All-American by WGCA following the season.
The 2023-24 season was a historic one for RMC Women's Golf, climbing 71 spots over the course of the season. Before the first tournament of the season, RMC was ranked 119th in the Golfstat rankings and finished 48th in the country. Freshman Morgan Mussatt was named ODAC Rookie of the Year and All-ODAC First Team. She was later tabbed an All-American by WGCA.
In 2022-23, Hearn coached the Yellow Jackets to a fourth place finish in the ODAC Championships and had the ODAC Rookie of the Year in Elli Flinchum.
MEN'S GOLF: Hearn coached his first season with the RMC men's golf team in 2025-26. The Yellow Jackets completed a strong season in 2025–26 as the Randolph–Macon men’s golf program continued to establish itself among the top teams in the ODAC and the region. Randolph-Macon competed in several highly competitive tournaments throughout the year, highlighted by a fourth-place finish out of 20 teams at the Port City Classic in Savannah, Georgia, one of the team’s best performances of the season. The Yellow Jackets also earned top-10 finishes at the Ted Barclay Fall Invitational and the Sam Snead Intercollegiate while competing against nationally respected Division III programs throughout the schedule.
Following a successful spring stretch, Randolph-Macon finished third overall at the 2026 ODAC Championships after climbing the leaderboard over the final two rounds, demonstrating the team’s consistency and depth throughout the tournament. The Yellow Jackets continued to show improvement across the season with balanced scoring and strong individual performances in multiple events, reinforcing the program’s continued growth
BEFORE RANDOLPH-MACON: From 2016-19, Hearn was head men’s and women’s golf coach at Centre College in Danville, Ky. The Colonels were nationally-ranked on both sides, with the men at No. 23 and the women at No. 17. Hearn mentored eight all-conference golfers and a pair of All-Americans. Five of his players were Academic All-Americans. Hearn had seven individual medalists on the women’s team and three on the men’s team.
Hearn was head men’s golf coach at Virginia Wesleyan University from 2012-16. He saw the Marlins’ Golfstat ranking rise from No. 198 to No. 32 in four years. He coached six individual medalists, including 2016 NCAA Division III Individual National Champion Evan Cox. Hearn had seven all-conference performers. The Marlins received the Community Service Award for 2013-14.
While in the Tidewater area, Hearn was an assistant golf professional at Elizabeth Manor Golf and Country Club in Portsmouth, Va., as well as a demo/fitting specialist for TaylorMade/Adidas Golf in Virginia Beach.
Hearn earned a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art with a minor in Sports Management from Old Dominion University in 2010.
