Susan Cassidy Headshot

Susan Cassidy

Head Coach Susan Cassidy has been with Randolph-Macon since 2002. She began cheering and dancing at the young age of three and started her cheer coaching and dance teaching careers when she was just a teenager.

Cassidy has amassed dozens of dance awards and titles from her decade of competitive dancing and modeling during her high school and college years. She studied under various New York City teachers during summer camps and did most of her training and teaching through the Melanie Nudo Academy of Dance in southwestern Pennsylvania. During her years there, Cassidy helped choreograph solo and group routines for recitals as well as for competitions.

Coach Cassidy started working with young cheerleaders when she was only 14. Cassidy cheered for the University of Pittsburgh where she was also on the dance team. During that time, the team won three consecutive NCA National Championship All- Girl titles and ranked sixth nationally in the co-ed division. Cassidy is also a coach at Cheer Extreme All Stars Richmond where she is certified by the United States All Star Federation through level 5 skills, the highest certifiable skill level one can coach.

Cassidy resides in Glen Allen with her husband, Sean, and two children Olivia and Victoria. She also has a stepdaughter, Alexis, who lives in Pittsburgh.
