AMHERST, Va. – Randolph-Macon men's golf improved by nine shots in the second round, moving up two spots to third of the ten team field.
The Lemon and Black shot the second best score in the second round at +18 (306), behind Guilford that scored +11 (299).
Kole Kohut (Berlin, Md./Stephen Decatur) fired off a -1 (71) second round, using an elite -4 (32) back nine. The sophomore recorded five birdies on the final nine holes to highlight his day. Kohut tallied five birdies and pars on nine holes to jump 23 spots as an individual to fifth place. His two-round score currently sits at +8 (152).
Michael Schaal (Chapel Hill, N.C./Carolina Friends) started the first round with a birdie on the front nine to stay within striking distance with a +1 (37). The junior finished his second round at +3 (75) with two birdies and pars on 11 holes. Schaal moved up the individual leaderboard into 11th place overall with an overall score of +10 (154).
Joseph Winston (Richmond, Va./Douglass Freeman) ended the second day with pars on ten holes and scored a birdie on the 11th hole. The freshman fired a +8 (80) in the second round and sits 20th as an individual at +15 (159).
Ty White (Emporia, Va./Greensville County) fired off a +9 (81) second round score. The sophomore sits at 17th overall as an individual with a score of +13 (157).
Charlie Wilkerson (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) improved from round one to his second round today, shooting +8 (80) with nine pars and a birdie. The junior currently has a two round score of +23 (167).
The Lemon and Black will complete their time at the ODAC Championships tomorrow at 10:50 a.m.
