WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - Randolph-Macon women's golf is back in action for the first time since being voted as the seventh best program in the country, taking part in the first round of the Williams Fall Invitational in Williamstown, Massachusetts.
The tournament field is represented by five of top-10 programs in the country and totalled eight programs in the top-25. Taconic Golf Club ranks seventh amongst university owned golf courses and will be the home of the 2028 National Championship.
Morgan Mussatt (Henrico, Va./Mills Godwin) was the leader in the clubhouse for the Yellow Jackets in round one, highlighted by firing one-under on the back nine. The junior ended the round at +1 (72) with pars on 15 out of 18 total holes, adding a birdie on the final hole. Mussatt is currently sitting seventh overall in the tournament as an individual.
Lilly Hall (Yorktown, Va./Liberty University Online Academy) carded a +5 (76) in the opening round for Randolph-Macon. The sophomore ended the day with 11 pars and a birdie on the 18th hole. Hall is currently 27th out of 98 total individual scores.
Alexis Haller (Louisville, Ky./Louisville Collegiate School) ended the day right behind her teammate Hall with a +6 (77). The junior carded 11 pars and a birdie on hole seven. Haller currently sits in the 34th spot as an individual.
Grace Anne Haggerty (Glen Allen, Va./St. Catherine's) finished off the team total with a +8 (79) for the first 18 holes. The freshman hit pars on 9 of the 18 total holes in the opening round and fired a birdie on the fourth hole. Haggerty is placed in top-50 with a 41 next to her name as an individual.
Alex DeRee (Dublin, Ohio./Dublin Coffman) carded a +15 (86) as an individual for the Lemon and Black. The sophomore hit pars on seven holes, during her first round.
