ASHLAND, Va. – Randolph-Macon Women's Basketball is listed as receiving votes in the first Women's Basketball Coaches Association poll of the regular season.
The Lemon and Black began their season with a non-conference win on the road against Dickinson with a score of 58-69. Randolph-Macon returned to Crenshaw Gymnasium for its home-opener against Notre Dame of Maryland, in which the team dominated the Gators, 63-38.
This past weekend, the Yellow Jackets traveled to Atlanta, Georgia, where they would drop tight contests against Emory and Bethany. Despite the losses, RMC led in both games and recorded fewer turnovers than both the Eagles and the Bison.
The young season has seen
Erin Porter (Virginia Beach, Va./Kettle Run) knock down a three in all four games and
McKenzie Matheny (Fairfax Station, Va./West Springfield) register her first double-double of the 2025-26 campaign.
The Lemon and Black will be back in action on Friday, November 21 at 6:00 p.m. for their home matchup against Mary Washington. This will be the first game of the RMC tournament, as the field also includes Gettysburg and Shenandoah.
