ASHLAND, Va. - Randolph-Macon success goes well beyond athletics.

The Princeton Review ranked R-MC No. 17 in the nation in Best Career Services.

"This ranking is a direct result in the overall contribution of the R-MC community," said J. Dontrese Brown, the Executive Director of the EDGE Center for Career Development. "Our faculty, staff, administration, alum, parents and donors have made an undeniable imprint on this achievement. Most significant are Cathy Rollman, Jessica Majkowycz and Joshua Quinn, who remain relentless in their intentional efforts for the success of our R-MC students. Rest assured; this is just the beginning…"

The EDGE Career Center is the application of education. The office integrates critical transferable skills with every student experience. The nationally ranked career services program provides full access to self-assessment, career exploration, personal & professional development tools that enable every student to apply their education with purpose, awareness and confidence.

With help from the dedicated staff at the EDGE Career Center and the extraordinary faculty, students acquire a competitive advantage in reaching their career or graduate school goals. By the time of graduation, a student will have what it takes to find the first destination job or graduate program in the student's chosen field.

One of the top programs on campus is the R-MC EDGE Career Boot Camp. Over two days, sophomores and above have the opportunity to participate in a skill immersion experience designed to provide students with a competitive edge. Students work on interview skills, network with alumni and work to communicate effectively. In the past, the Boot Camp was held in early February. Student-athletes participating in winter and spring sports were unable to attend the Boot Camp. The EDGE recently announced that the Boot Camp would be held twice, once in the spring and once in the fall, so all student-athletes would have the opportunity to participate.
